Once upon a time, in a cozy little house, lived a little boy named Leo. Leo had bright, curious eyes and soft, fluffy hair. As the sun began to dip below the tall trees, painting the sky in shades of sleepy orange and purple, Leo knew it was almost time for his favorite part of the day: bedtime.
First, Leo helped his grown-up tidy his toys. Blocks went back into their colourful box, books were stacked neatly on the shelf, and his crayons were tucked into their tin. Putting everything away felt like tucking his toys in for the night too, ready for another day of play tomorrow.
Next was bath time! Leo loved splashing gently in the warm, bubbly water. He washed his little hands and feet, his tummy and his knees. The water felt soft and warm, like a hug all around him. He watched the bubbles pop and disappear with a tiny 'poof!' Getting clean felt fresh and peaceful.
After drying off with a big, soft towel, it was time to put on his pajamas. Leo’s pajamas were blue with little white stars, soft and cozy. Pulling them on felt like putting on his special sleeping uniform, ready for adventures in dreamland.
Then, Leo went to the sink to brush his teeth. He squeezed a tiny dot of sparkly toothpaste onto his little toothbrush and brushed up and down, round and round. He made sure all his teeth were shiny and clean, ready for a long rest while he slept.
With clean teeth and cozy pajamas, Leo snuggled up on the sofa with his grown-up and chose a favourite bedtime storybook. He loved looking at the pictures and listening to the quiet, gentle words. The stories helped his mind feel calm and ready to rest.
Finally, it was time to go to his own bed. Leo climbed into his warm covers, pulling them right up to his chin. He found his most special cuddly friend, a soft teddy bear with one floppy ear, and gave him a big hug. Teddy always felt safe and warm in his arms.
Leo closed his eyes and took a slow, deep breath. He thought about all the nice things that happened today. He listened to the quiet sounds of the house settling down for the night. With his cuddly bear close and his blankets warm, Leo felt safe and loved, ready to drift off to sleep and dream sweet dreams until the morning sun peeked through his window. Goodnight, Leo.
