High up on a big green tree, in a warm, sunny place, lived a little banana named Benny. Benny was bright yellow and felt happy all day long, swaying gently in the breeze with his bunch of banana brothers and sisters. But when the sun started to dip below the horizon and the sky turned soft shades of pink and purple, Benny started to feel a different feeling. He felt... sleepy!
Benny stretched his peel and yawned a little banana yawn. 'Where is the very best place to sleep?' he wondered. He looked up at the sparkling stars just starting to appear. 'Maybe it's up there!' he thought, imagining floating among the twinkles. But it looked so far away, and maybe a little chilly without his cozy tree.
Then, Benny looked down at the soft grass below. It looked like a big green blanket. 'Maybe I should sleep there!' he pondered. But he was high up, and the tree felt safe and familiar. The ground seemed a bit too open for a little banana like him.
Next, Benny noticed the big, strong leaves of his own banana tree. They were broad and green, curving gently around him and his bunch. The leaves rustled softly, like a lullaby whisper, and the warm air hugged him tight. He snuggled a little closer to his banana family.
He realized that his very own spot, right there on the tree, was just perfect. The leaves were his soft blanket, the gentle swaying was his rocking chair, and being close to his family made him feel safe and sound. There was no need to search far away for the best place to sleep.
Benny closed his eyes, feeling happy and cozy. He listened to the quiet night sounds – the gentle breeze, the soft rustle of the leaves. He wasn't floating among the stars, and he wasn't on the cool ground. He was right where he belonged, safe and warm on his tree.
With a final, happy sigh, little Benny the banana drifted off to sleep, dreaming sweet yellow dreams under the starry sky. He knew that home, his own comfortable spot, was always the best place for a sleepy little banana.
