Leo was a little blue cube. He loved bedtime, but sometimes he wished it was a little more… exciting! Every night, Leo’s human, a little girl named Mia, would build towers with him before tucking him in next to her pillow. But tonight, Mia was feeling sleepy and didn’t want to build a tall tower.
“Oh dear,” thought Leo. “What will we do?” He rolled a little on the bed. Suddenly, he had an idea! “Mia,” he wobbled, “Let’s play a dream-building game! We can *imagine* building amazing things!”
Mia giggled. “A dream-building game? What’s that?”
“We close our eyes,” Leo explained, “and we each add a part to our dream castle. You imagine a sparkly tower, and I’ll imagine a bouncy bridge!”
Mia closed her eyes. “I imagine a tower made of rainbow sprinkles!” she said. Leo imagined a bright yellow bridge that bounced when you walked on it. He imagined little cloud-sheep jumping across it!
Then, a little red cube, Rosie, rolled into view. “Can I play too?” she asked. Mia and Leo were delighted. “Of course!” they said together.
“I imagine a secret garden with glowing flowers!” Rosie chimed in. Leo imagined a little cube-sized door leading into the garden. Mia imagined friendly fireflies lighting the way.
They kept adding to their dream castle, each cube imagining something wonderful. They built a slide made of moonlight, a room filled with fluffy pillows, and a kitchen that made endless cookies. It was much more fun building together than building alone!
Soon, Mia started to yawn. “This is the best dream castle ever,” she whispered, snuggling her head onto her pillow. Leo and Rosie snuggled close too.
“It’s even better when we build dreams *together*,” Leo said happily. Mia smiled, already drifting off to sleep, dreaming of rainbow sprinkles, bouncy bridges, and glowing gardens. Leo knew that even the simplest bedtime could be an adventure, especially with good friends and a little imagination.
