Timmy was a little boy who loved his teddy bear, Barnaby. Barnaby was soft and cuddly, with one button eye and a slightly wonky ear. Timmy took Barnaby everywhere – to the park, to the shops, even to bath time!
One night, Timmy's cousin, Leo, came to stay. Leo was a little shy and didn't bring any toys. He looked longingly at Barnaby, who was snuggled on Timmy's pillow.
Timmy noticed Leo's sad face. He thought for a moment. It was his bedtime, and he usually liked to keep Barnaby all to himself. But tonight, something felt different.
Timmy remembered how much he loved it when his friends shared their toys with him. He decided to share Barnaby with Leo!
‘Do you want to play with Barnaby?’ Timmy asked Leo, offering him the teddy bear. Leo's eyes lit up, and a big smile spread across his face.
The boys spent a happy hour playing together with Barnaby. Leo pretended Barnaby was a brave explorer, and Timmy helped him navigate a make-believe jungle using pillows and blankets as trees.
Soon, it was really Leo's bedtime. He hugged Barnaby tightly, thanking Timmy for letting him play. 'He's a very special bear,' Leo whispered.
Timmy felt a warm feeling inside. He realized that sharing Barnaby had made him happy, too. It was much more fun playing with Leo than keeping Barnaby all to himself.
That night, Timmy fell asleep with a happy heart. He dreamed of adventures with Barnaby and Leo, and he knew that sharing his toys made bedtime even more special. He couldn’t wait to share more toys with Leo tomorrow!
