Luna the llama loved bedtime. But Luna *especially* loved her fuzzy, blue blanket. It was the softest blanket in the whole wide world, and she didn’t want to share it with anyone! Tonight, her friend Pip the penguin was coming for a sleepover.
When Pip arrived, Luna hugged her blanket tightly. “This is *my* blanket,” she said. Pip’s little face looked sad. “Oh,” he said quietly. “I just wanted to snuggle with something soft too.”
Luna felt a little pang in her heart. She watched Pip try to get comfortable on his little pillow, but he kept shivering. Mama Llama saw what was happening. She gently sat beside Luna. “Sharing can make bedtime even more fun, sweetie,” Mama Llama whispered. “It shows kindness and makes friends happy.”
Luna thought about that. She looked at Pip, who was still looking a bit cold. Slowly, Luna unfolded a corner of her fuzzy, blue blanket and offered it to Pip. “Here,” she mumbled. “You can have a little piece.”
Pip’s face lit up! “Really?” he chirped. He snuggled into the soft blue fluff. “Thank you, Luna! This is wonderful!” Luna felt a warm, fuzzy feeling inside – even warmer than her blanket!
They both snuggled under the blanket, Luna and Pip, and told each other stories about their day. Luna realized that sharing her blanket didn’t make it less special; it made bedtime even *more* special because she had a friend to share it with.
Soon, both little ones were yawning. Mama Llama tucked them in. “Sharing is a wonderful thing,” she said, kissing Luna’s forehead. Luna smiled. She had learned that sharing wasn’t about giving something *away*; it was about giving a little bit of happiness to a friend.
Luna and Pip drifted off to sleep, cozy and warm under the fuzzy, blue blanket, dreaming sweet dreams of friendship and kindness. And Luna knew, even in her sleep, that sharing was the best feeling of all.
