Rosie Red loved wearing her bright red hooded cape! Today, Mama asked her for a very special job. “Grandma Willow isn’t feeling well, Rosie,” Mama said. “Could you take this basket of warm blueberry muffins and honey tea to her? But remember, stay on the path, and don’t talk to anyone you don’t know.”
Rosie promised she would be careful. She skipped happily down the sunny path, the basket swinging gently. The forest was full of cheerful birds and buzzing bees. Soon, she met a fluffy squirrel gathering nuts. “Hello!” chirped the squirrel. “What’s in your basket?”
Rosie remembered Mama’s words. She smiled politely and said, “I’m taking muffins and tea to Grandma Willow. I need to stay on the path.” The squirrel understood and waved goodbye with a tiny paw. Rosie continued on her way, feeling proud she had listened.
A little further along, she saw a friendly baker, Mr. Bumble, with a cart full of delicious cookies. “Good morning, Rosie Red!” he called. “Those muffins smell wonderful! Are you going to Grandma Willow’s? I was just heading there with a special surprise – a tiny honey cake for her!”
Rosie was excited! “Can we walk together?” she asked. Mr. Bumble smiled. “Of course!” They walked and talked about all the lovely flowers in the forest. Mr. Bumble reminded Rosie to be careful and watch her step.
When they arrived at Grandma Willow’s cozy cottage, Grandma was so happy to see Rosie and Mr. Bumble. “What lovely visitors!” she exclaimed. Rosie gave Grandma the muffins and tea, and Mr. Bumble presented the honey cake.
Grandma Willow hugged Rosie tightly. “You were so kind to bring me these treats, and so clever to listen to your Mama and walk with a friend. That’s a very brave thing to do!” Rosie beamed. She learned that being kind, listening to grown-ups, and helping others made her feel warm and happy inside.
After a cozy visit, Rosie and Mr. Bumble walked back home together. Rosie knew she would always remember her special delivery and the importance of being a kind and careful helper.
