Terry the T-Rex was a very big dinosaur. He had bumpy green skin, tiny arms, and a tail that wagged when he was happy. Most nights, Terry roared happily before falling asleep in his cozy cave, but tonight, he couldn't sleep.
A tiny chirp woke him. Peeking out, Terry saw a little baby bird, all alone and shivering on a rock. It looked lost and scared.
Terry, despite his scary appearance, had a very kind heart. He gently scooped up the tiny bird with his enormous claw, careful not to hurt it. 'Don't worry, little one,' he rumbled softly, his voice surprisingly gentle.
Terry knew he couldn't keep the bird in his cave. It needed its mama. So, he started searching. He lumbered through the tall ferns, his big feet carefully avoiding the small flowers.
He called out, 'Is anyone looking for a little baby bird?' But only the crickets answered. Terry wasn't going to give up. He walked and walked, calling out again and again.
Then, high in a tall tree, he heard a mother bird's worried chirp. He carefully lifted the little bird up to its relieved mother. She chirped happily and nuzzled her baby.
The mother bird chirped a thank you to Terry, and Terry felt a warm glow in his tummy. He hadn't found any treasure, or solved a great mystery, but helping the little bird had made him happier than anything else.
Feeling sleepy and content, Terry lumbered back to his cave. He snuggled into his mossy bed, a happy smile on his face. He knew even a big, scary T-Rex like him could be kind and make a real difference in the world, and that's the best feeling of all. He drifted off to sleep, dreaming of little birds and making new friends. And he knew, tomorrow would be another day filled with kindness.
