Luna the Little Owl loved exploring. During the day, she'd soar through the forest, her big eyes taking in all the sights and sounds. But as night fell, Luna had a special place she loved to visit – her headspace.
Luna's headspace wasn't a real place, of course. It was a quiet, peaceful place inside her mind, where she could relax and let go of any worries she had from the day. It looked like a starry night sky, filled with twinkling stars and fluffy clouds.
One night, Luna felt a little bit anxious. She'd had a busy day playing hide-and-seek with her friends, and a little bit of worry fluttered in her chest. 'Oh dear,' she whispered to herself. 'I hope I can fall asleep.'
Luna flew towards her headspace. As she arrived, she noticed her worries, small and shadowy, were swirling around like little dust bunnies. 'Don't worry, little worries,' she said kindly. 'I can handle you.'
Luna gently gathered the worries into a soft, fluffy cloud. She whispered kind words to each one, reminding herself of all the fun she'd had that day and all the good things about herself. 'I am brave,' she whispered. 'I am kind. I am clever.'
As Luna spoke these positive words, the little shadowy worries began to shrink and fade. The fluffy cloud became lighter and lighter, floating away into the starry night. Luna felt a warmth spread through her, replacing the anxiety with calmness.
Next, Luna saw a field of shimmering moonbeams. Each moonbeam felt soft and gentle, and as Luna touched them, they filled her with a sense of peace and quiet. She closed her eyes and let the moonbeams wash over her.
With her worries gone and her heart full of calm, Luna felt herself growing sleepy. She snuggled into a soft, star-shaped cloud and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of playful squirrels and soaring among the stars.
The next morning, Luna woke up feeling refreshed and happy. She knew that whenever she felt worried or anxious, she could always visit her headspace. Her headspace was a special place where she could find peace and prepare for a good night's sleep. And so, every night, Luna flew back to her magical headspace, ready for a peaceful slumber under the starry night sky.
