Joseph was a little bear who loved to dream. Every night, when he closed his eyes, amazing pictures would float behind his eyelids. But tonight’s dream was extra special! It was full of colors – bright reds, sunny yellows, ocean blues, and grassy greens. He dreamed he was painting a giant picture for all his friends in the forest.
When Joseph woke up, he felt so happy! He wanted to paint, but he was a little shy. “What if my friends don’t like my colors?” he worried. His mama bear gave him a warm hug. “Joseph,” she said, “your colors are beautiful, just like you. Don’t be afraid to share your gifts with the world.”
Joseph decided to be brave. He gathered his paints and brushes and went to the meadow where all his friends were playing. Barnaby Badger was building a tower of sticks, Rosie Rabbit was collecting flowers, and Finley Fox was trying to fly a kite.
“Hello!” Joseph called out. “I had a wonderful dream about colors, and I wanted to paint something for everyone!” At first, Barnaby, Rosie, and Finley were a little surprised. They had never seen Joseph paint before.
Joseph started to paint. He painted a bright red sun for Barnaby’s tower, making it look warm and strong. He painted sunny yellow petals on Rosie’s flowers, making them even more cheerful. And he painted ocean blue waves under Finley’s kite, making it look like it was soaring over the sea.
As Joseph painted, his friends began to smile. They loved the colors! Barnaby’s tower looked magnificent, Rosie’s flowers smelled sweeter, and Finley’s kite flew higher than ever before.
“Wow, Joseph!” said Barnaby. “Your colors are amazing!” Rosie and Finley agreed. Joseph’s heart swelled with happiness. He realized that sharing his gift of painting made everyone feel good, including himself.
From that day on, Joseph wasn’t shy about his colors anymore. He painted pictures for everyone in the forest, spreading joy and happiness wherever he went.
