Koko the Koala's Cozy Bedtime Routine

« Back to Topic

2 min read ・ Age 3

Koko the koala lived in a tall eucalyptus tree. Every night, it was time for Koko’s bedtime routine! First, Koko would give his mama a big, fuzzy hug. “I love you, Mama,” he’d say. Mama Koala would hug him back and say, “I love you too, my sweet Koko.”

Then, Koko would help tidy up his little branch. He put his favorite gum leaves in a neat pile and his little wooden toys in a box. It felt good to have a tidy space before bed. Mama Koala explained, “A tidy space helps a tidy mind, Koko!”

Next came bath time! Koko didn’t use water, of course. Koalas stay clean all by themselves! But Mama Koala gently brushed Koko’s fur, making sure he was comfy and cozy. It tickled a little, and Koko giggled.

After his brush, Koko and Mama Koala would snuggle close. Mama Koala would read a story about the twinkling stars and the sleepy moon. Koko loved listening to her gentle voice. Sometimes, Koko would feel a little bit worried about the dark.

“What if there are shadows?” Koko would ask. Mama Koala would smile. “Shadows are just shapes made by the moonlight, Koko. They can’t hurt you. And I’m right here.” She would hold him tight.

Koko had a special little eucalyptus leaf pillow and a soft blanket. He snuggled into his bed, feeling safe and warm. He closed his eyes and thought about all the fun he had that day – playing with his friends and munching on yummy leaves.

Mama Koala sang a quiet lullaby. “Sleep now, my little Koko, sleep tight. Sweet dreams until the morning light.” Koko felt so loved and secure. He knew Mama Koala would always be there.

Slowly, Koko drifted off to sleep, dreaming of eucalyptus trees and starry skies. He knew that tomorrow would be another wonderful day, but for now, it was time to rest. And that’s the best part of a good bedtime routine!
